What I Got From The Desi x Katy Dose of Colors Collab

Did I need more makeup? No. Did I want more makeup? HELL YEAH.

When it comes to all things cosmetics/beauty, I'm like a moth to a flame. So, when I found out two of my all-time favorite YouTubers — Desi Perkins and Katy ("lustrelux") — were coming out with a joint collaboration with the Dose of Colors (DoC) brand, I set my alarm clock and patiently waited for the drop.
I had never purchased anything from DoC before, but I knew that these two badass women wouldn't dissapoint — and they didn't.
The entire collection included two highlighters, two liquid lipsticks, two regular lipsticks, one lipgloss, and an eyeshadow quad. If you were counting, that's eight products in total. I purchased five and love(d) everything that I got; it's safe to say that I need the rest.
Unfortunately everything is sold out at the moment, but there will be a restock in September!

Here's everything I spent my coins on and a couple of thoughts I've had since I first used them:

1. "No Shade" creamy lipstick
The formula lives up to its "creamy" label, and it made me realize how much I miss old school lipsticks. I've been on a liquid lipstick kick for the past 3-4ish years, so it was nice to revisit this type of product.
However, I will say that the color doesn't 100% suit me? I feel like it has more of a yellow undertone than my other nude-colored lipsticks but it's not a total deal breaker. Once I added a little pink lipstick over it, it looked bomb.

2. "More Creamer Please" creamy lipstick
I feel the exact same way about this color as the last — it's slightly more brown/orange, though.

*BONUS SHOTS OF HOW PRETTY THE LIPSTICK PACKAGING IS*

The texture of the packaging is also 100.
*cries at how perfect these nudes are*

3. "Hot Fire" liquid matte lipstick
I'm obsessed with a bright, bold red lip. And I have been searching high and low for the perfect vermillion color that makes me feel like a goddess and this one IS IT.
Also, very impressed with how long this formula stays on.

4. "Fuego" highlighter

Highlighters are also my downfall, so of course I caved for this beauty.
It's build-able and gives you the perfect glow without being glittery/greasy looking.

5. "The Girls" eyeshadow palette

TBH, I've only tried the top row colors and I'm still trying to figure out how to use them. I do think it's part of me owning the wrong brushes and not knowing how to apply it with my finger, and the other part of me just not using eyeshadow enough to know what looks good and what doesn't?
Gotta keep playing with this one, but it is gorgeous.
Can we have a moment for this golden greatness?!
I mean... c'mon!
Here's a comparison of packaging size between the highlighter vs. the eyeshadow palette.
I, personally, think it was money well spent and can't wait to see what these ladies do in the future!
