Leave it to Chicago to surprise you with 50 degree weather at the end of November (but drop down back to 30 degrees in a matter of hours *side eye*) I spent my Sunday afternoon drinking delicious coffee (Dark Matter) at a new joint, for me, in the city (Star Lounge Coffee Bar). The coffee was bomb and the energy in the space was exactly what I needed to round out the long weekend.

Sidenote: I have been obsessed with these Topshop Joni jeans that I just purchased - if you're looking for a new pair of jeans, these are completely worth it!

There's something so comforting about oversized sweaters and blanket scarves that make for the perfect autumn uniform. I'm also no stranger to comfortable clothes lately, so I can't kick myself out of the slouchy outfit vibes.
My bestie, Ruth, took these photos for me in her amazing backyard/rooftop. Even when everything is changing and dying around her home, it still is one of the most beautiful and calming areas in the city.

Shameless Sleepwear

I'm going to admit it right here and right now - I've fantasized about having a beautiful black and white striped silk PJ set that looks so cool I can throw on some heels, put my hair in a huge hat and throw on some vampy lipstick and walk out the door feeling like a million bucks. This isn't the case, but didn't stop me from rolling out into the world with my $5 joggers from F21 and my $3 Urban Outfitters top I scored in the sale - nothing glamorous, but completely comfortable. I went to grab some brunch at Bongo Room with my sister and walked around to take in some of Fall time - in my PJs and all - no shame, just me on a Sunday,

Monday's Cozy Cardigan

My Monday consisted of this: Brunching with my girl Abby, walking around & stopping at a couple of book stores, chili making and The Voice watching. All I wanted to be was comfortable and this cardigan did just that. I hope everyone gets to unwind every once in a while.
Feel-good-tip: Rock a vampy limp to pull the look together.

Boyfriend Jeans Without the Boyfriend • OOTD

Let's face a couple of facts here:

- I don't need a boyfriend to rock "Boyfriend Jeans"

- I am gay

- I have a girlfriend (who doesn't wear this style of jeans) 

I couldn't deny a pair of baggy, ripped jeans when I eyed this pair at Zara a couple of months ago. I think they're easy to chuck on with a graphic tee and you can still look like you tried...kinda. This time I decided to pair it with a basic top and a flowy plaid button up (I use the term "flowy" loosely as it's more of a baggier top...which is what I go for 99% of the time - I just like to be comfortable, okay?!) To not be completely swallowed by my top and bottoms (#shortgirlstruggle), I finally decided to wear my Jeffrey Campbell Soiree heels to elongate me a bit. The whole putting outfit thing together thing = easy. The whole walking in heels = not so much. PS. Lollapalooza Look • Day 3 • Cobalt Craze

Dress-  F21/ Hat - H&M/ Bag  - Fjallraven Kanken / Boots - H&M/Sunnies - Urban Outfitters

We made it to the 3rd and final day of Lollapalooza! Cue: rain, frizzy hair, muddy feet and good vibes. The weather was insane - non-stop rain caused for lots and lots of mud and a mickey mouse poncho for 99% of the day but that didn't stop our crew. I finally tried Franks N Dawgs "Bacon Mac N' Cheese Dog" which was life changing (bacon sausage, truffle mac 'n' cheese with parmesan, brioche bread crumbs & thyme) Luckily I opted to wear a shapeless cobalt colored dress that hid my food baby perfectly. I have this dress in two other colors as well and use them more as layering pieces. We caught: NONONO, London Grammar, RAC, Cage the Elephant, Chromeo, The 1975, Flosstradamus, Childish Gambino, Flume, Chance the Rapper and Kings of Leon. Easy to say that I was all over the place on Sunday! I'll miss Lolla's energy - we'll see what 2015 holds and what other music festivals I'll hit up. For now, my feet are still recovering and I'm comfortably rocking leggings and long t-shirts for the next couple days. Hope you enjoyed these outfit posts!
