Pink Pants & Light Leaks

When I received these pants in the mail, I was beyond excited! The scarf print on them is such a fresh twist to the standard on-trend colored denim for the season. They're a bit long (because I'm short) so I cuffed them up and still like the white detail of the fold. I couldn't contain myself to make a super decent OOTD because I wanted to blog about these bad boys, asap! So I just paired it with my favorite (and now, unshapely and faded) oversized black shirt. I tucked it in because it's so long, so it has this funky bubble effect, but who cares! This outfit was so comfy, and of course I had to throw on my Litas and some gold accessories to complement these pink obsessions. & yeah, my bun has made an obnoxious comeback.

PS: I've been into faking some light leaks...I know, I know, sad but it reminds me of the real light leaks that would happen when I was shooting film.

Prada Sunnies

I present to you...my Prada cat-eye sunnies! I bought them a little over a week ago and with the lovely help from Lexi I finally decided to go with this beautiful pair of sunnies amongst other contenders. I've been on the hunt for a slight-cat eye frame and these were just so perfect. When I saw them in the display case, I had to try them on and they seriously won my heart over (especially with the gradient lens) so I thought I'd treat myself, especially since I've been working for almost two months now *time flies!*

No Doubt Nails

I'm the type of person that gets tired of my nails after about a week, so when I find some inspiration for some new nail candy, I take it and run with it. After watching No Doubt's performance on the TCA's - yes, I watched the TCA's for this performance- a lightbulb went off when I saw the pants Gwen Stefani was wearing - they were kind of reminiscent of the artist, Keith Haring, and his black and white work.  But that wasn't it...I remember a photo I spotted on Tumblr a while ago with simple patterns and there it was. I scavenged for the photo, found it and mustered up the courage to actually attempt these seemingly simple brush strokes on my nails and voila, here is my attempt at the wonder that I found online brought to light by the sickest person ever, Ms. Stefani.

Long story short: have fun with your nails - I did it free-handed, so if I can do it...anyone can!

PS: Is anyone else as excited as I am that No Doubt is making new music again?! So I'll leave you with their newest song 'Settle Down'.

Obsession: Erin Wasson

Erin Wasson. Erin Wasson. Erin Wasson. She has been a style/lifestyle inspiration for so long now and it's surprising that I didn't make a post on her any earlier. I don't know if there's any other person that could look as phenomenal as she does from behind, contorted, blurry,eyes closed, and hair in face. She has such a classic edge to her that is inspiring to me. Simply put: she's my icon.

Obsession: Miley Cyrus

Okay, I know I'm going to get a lot of slack for this, but I never guaranteed a 100% likeable post for anybody who looks at this blog. Yes, as the title states, I'm obsessing over the one and only: Miley Cyrus. It may be the super toned, "I go to pilates 6 days a week" body, or that simple staple blonde bun, but Miley has got me thinking the cliche 'I wish I was her' thought. I've been loving her simple but edgy, very AA, street-style. There's a lot of high waisted short action and fantastic sunnies.  Anyways, I have a couple of favorite outfits that I've bookmarked and thought I'd post them up here - I'd seriously love to rock each one. She's come a long way from her Hannah Montana days, I swear!
