Instarecap + Life

I seriously cannot stop listening to my favorite people "Data Romance" and their fabulous CD "Other".

I've been having the weirdest time trying to balance work + life when I just want to go home and sleep at the end of the day; let's not even talk about how it takes me an hour to an hour and a half to go to work and the same time to come home...and that's with me living in the city. Born and raised in Chicago - whoopwhoop! And yes, the actual city. 

Anyways, I've been in a lingering hiatus from updating my blog but I do update randomly but more frequently on Instagram. I'm a photo girl anyways and it's just easy to snap, upload and keep my day going. 

Getting back into the swing of things is hard, but I have some exciting projects for this blog coming up and life in general seems to be taking unexpected twists and turns. So here's a little quick instarecap into what's been up.

8//Scored 2 sweet UNIF tees at UO on sale from $70 t0 $20 ea. My love for UNIF has no limit.

9//I've been eyeing this hologram styled clutch by Deena & Ozzy since it hit the store but I forgot about it, went shopping and found it for $6 - it's online for a little bit more here

10//F21 pants that feel like PJs and only cost me $3 were such a great purchase - and yeah, I wore them to work

Sounds Like Noise

Happy Friday! I'm pretty sure I jinxed myself in the last post where I talked about Chicago weather getting better because it has been gloomy all.week.long. At least something bright came into my life - the newest addition to my lipstick collection named "Sounds Like Noise" by MAC. On their website they say:

"Colour plus texture for the lips that made M·A·C famous. Limited-edition shade of Sounds Like Noise, a true bright orange inspired by Hayley Williams."

It was an online exclusive/limited edition & inspired by the awesome Hayley Williams from Paramore, so you know that means - I had to have it. I definitely agree that it is a true orange - not reddish, not pinkish, but a real orange on your lips. It says it's a "matte" finish, but I think it's a bit creamier than matte and that's a-okay with me. One thing to consider when buying: it definitely settles on the lines/cracks of your lips - so you better scrub your lips and moisturize before putting this baby on! Final verdict? I'm in love.

What I Wore To Work Yesterday

The title says it all, doesn't it? 100% of the time I never am able to take any OOTD's for my blog if it's a full work-week. I thought I'd take a couple quick photos on my phone to post on here since it'd be kind of interesting to see how "put together" I might look as a "young professional" - but who am I kidding? Anything too constraining and adult-y feels so uncomfortable to me. I wore a messy bun...that says it all.

Pastel Dreams Lookbook | Photos

I know there's been a gap in between my posts but I'm getting back into the swing of things - life has been like a roller-coaster recently. Also, I finally turned 23 and had the best birthday I could have asked for. This is my MJ year, and let's hope it's as stellar as Michael Jordan's career, haha.
