We made it to the final day!
If we're being honest, we were happy and sad that there would roughly be 12 hours left of humidity and body pains for us to endure.
Thankfully (and ironically) the 4th and final day was the prettiest when it came to mother nature cooperating.

Let's just dive right in and state the obvious: this post is late as hell. I could give you some roundabout excuse as to how life has gotten in the way, or how my computer frizzed out on me (goodbye $335 of unplanned money), etc. but that's no fun! Since the last time I updated I've really been having a music-filled summer - went to Pitchfork, VEVO Lift and Lollapalooza. I'd like to say that out of all the acts across different festivals/concerts, I'm still blown away that I got to see Lana Del Rey live and pretty f*ckin' close.
Now I can finally ease into really setting up my room/the rest of the apartment - decorating is hard and expensive. I've also been trying to find a good place in the apt. to shoot some quick OOTD's, and I think I found a decent lil' spot.
I threw on my cat lady dress that reminded me of my little white cat, Mila. I'm one of those people.
Post-Pitchfork blues are in full effect - Sunday's line-up was just so perfect. It was my first year going to this festival and I don't know why I've been snoozin' on it. I was lucky enough to go on Friday with co-wokers and got to scope out the scene for my Sunday adventure. I tried to hit up every stage from Blood Orange to R.Kelly. I loved seeing Sky Ferreira but M.I.A.stole my heart, her set was incredible (even if the sound was all types of effed up). Bumped into a lot of friends and had such a great time. I decided to rock my hair up in milk-maid braids, threw on my easy Wildfox dress and strapped on my doc martens. I love summertime Chi!
Yo! (yeah, I just said "yo"...channeling my inner Pinkman today, anyone out here watch Breaking Bad? I am itching for the final season!)
I thought I'd introduce you guys to my newest hater blockers/sun protectors/sunnies...my new Céline Oversized 'Audrey' babies - yes, inspired by Audrey Hepburn. They are everything I could ever want from a pair of sunglasses: black, oversized, slight cat eye shape, super dark and minimalistic. I had bought these Prada sunnies a while ago but ended up returning them because they were too see-through for my liking - everything else was awesome. However, the universe worked in my favor and brought these into my life. They are a bit heavy on the face but that just reassures me that they're the perfect sturdy investment piece. I won't say much more, because they can speak for themselves.
Sidenote: I always put a song in every post because I think it's nice to connect others with what I'm into/what inspires me. Music is so euphoric to me, no matter how cheesy or deep it can be - it transcends and has the power to move people (I know, it's not always that serious, but just think about it for a second...) On that note, I just came across the singer/artist Lorde - I don't know why her music was never in my life before. I AM IN LOVE WITH EVERYTHING SHE DOES. I've been meaning to make this post for a while, but better late than never, right? Quite some time ago I was scrolling through Tumblr at 2am (as we all do) and I came across a couple of pictures of two ladies with the most incredible style (to my liking - I know, I know...we all like different things). When I looked at the "tags" I realized it was Nina Sky (aka Natalie and Nicole Albino) - mind blown. Yes, the twins that made you shake your ass to "Move Ya' Body" when it was playing on the radio 24/7 with a million different remixes you probably heard at a club. Their personal style growth from their hair color & cuts, to their body art down to their eclectic street-style vibed clothing choices makes me love them even more (and inspired me to stop being a pansy and really start my own personal style transition). Their style hasn't been the only evolution - they also have new music that I've been jammin' to (check it out one of my fave songs below).

Miroslava Duma, a 28 year-old former Harper's Bazaar Russia editor, free lance writer and founder of Buro 24/7 , is a fashion inspiration like no other. She has a beautiful son and that does not mean that she went out to buy herself a pair of "mom jeans" (not the good kind). Always an eye-popper at fashion weeks, she sports dynamic cuts, effortless prints and textures and has mastered 'casual chic'. A hard worker, brilliant style icon, part of the short girls club and she has fantastic hair - of course I'm obsessing! I'd take a walk in her Louboutin's, any day.
