Lollapalooza 2016 - Day 1 - Little Miss Pineapple

Let's just dive right in and state the obvious: this post is late as hell.
I could give you some roundabout excuse as to how life has gotten in the way, or how my computer frizzed out on me (goodbye $335 of unplanned money), etc. but that's no fun!

Lollapalooza 2016 was a swift little reminder of how much I love music and
how my body doesn't bounce back like it did when I was 17.
I was accompanied by my two main squeezes (my sister, Priscilla, and my gf, Lauren) and mediocre temperature.
The first day of any festival is always full of hope, strength, and a desire to test the limits of your body. WE WERE READY.
I didn't care to make my way to the front of the crowds or to fight with suburban teens  — we watched amazing shows with enough space to dance our asses off and that's all I could have asked for.
This wasn't my first Lolla, so you know I've learned my lesson the hard way.
It was rainy. It was humid. It was hot.

What our eyes saw and our hearts felt: Yeasayer, City and Colour, and Lana Del Rey.
Okay, okay, we didn't see much because we took it slow, but we did hear The 1975, Kehlani, and Wavves (we just didn't stick around long enough to watch full songs).

It was the 25th (July 28-31) anniversary of the fest so there was definitely something a little more special in the air.

LANA DEL REY IS AN ACTUAL GODDESS SENT DOWN FROM A MAGICAL UNIVERSE. Second time seeing her and still head over heels.

Quite possibly the most exciting Thursday I'll ever have in my life.
Oh, I also wore heeled booties and that was a HUGE MISTAKE.

Day 2 coming up tomorrow  keep your eyes peeled!
