Summer is the season that ignites all of your favorite memories - sandy hair, backyard grilling, ice-cream runs, short shorts, music blasting in the car as you drive down the highway... and the list can go on and on. This past weekend I was able to indulge in a little summer memory making by going to Lake Geneva. It's such a beautiful and serene place; a hidden gem. I got ready that morning with no expectations of going there, so I threw on my summer uniform: shorts, tee, booties and sunnies (hat optional because of the heat). Had I known there was a 26 mile trail/walk, I would have decked myself out in something a little more...athletic. I went with my family and my sister snapped these quick little photos. The scenery was so beautiful, I have to go back!
I want to do more trips like this, so if there's any cool suggestions floating around on the interwebs, let me know - cheers to the summa'time!
Yo! (yeah, I just said "yo"...channeling my inner Pinkman today, anyone out here watch Breaking Bad? I am itching for the final season!)
I thought I'd introduce you guys to my newest hater blockers/sun protectors/sunnies...my new Céline Oversized 'Audrey' babies - yes, inspired by Audrey Hepburn. They are everything I could ever want from a pair of sunglasses: black, oversized, slight cat eye shape, super dark and minimalistic. I had bought these Prada sunnies a while ago but ended up returning them because they were too see-through for my liking - everything else was awesome. However, the universe worked in my favor and brought these into my life. They are a bit heavy on the face but that just reassures me that they're the perfect sturdy investment piece. I won't say much more, because they can speak for themselves.
Sidenote: I always put a song in every post because I think it's nice to connect others with what I'm into/what inspires me. Music is so euphoric to me, no matter how cheesy or deep it can be - it transcends and has the power to move people (I know, it's not always that serious, but just think about it for a second...) On that note, I just came across the singer/artist Lorde - I don't know why her music was never in my life before. I AM IN LOVE WITH EVERYTHING SHE DOES. Check out her musical styling of "Tennis Court" below and enjoy!
Guess who's back, back, back? Back again, 'gain, 'gain - Yumi's back, back, back with an outfit of the day, day, day....okay, okay - I had my Eminem moment and now it's all gravy. All I can seem to keep posting is OOTD's. I finally decided to wear my AA harem pants (that I dubbed my "drop crotch pants") which are love/hate to some people. I'm not asking anyone to love everything I wear, and I guess that's why I post what I do - we're all different and do things differently. All I can say is that these are a favorite piece in my wardrobe (and thank you Lisa for allowing me to not have buyers remorse)! They can make you look unflattering in some places, they're super hard and awkward to style, but they are so comfortable. I dressed it down and enjoyed the awesome weather!

O&C
My sister goes away for her first year of college today - good luck, I love you!
So, it may seem like a repetitive post, but my video editing schedule has been out of whack. But let's be real...my entire life schedule feels like this too. I have the video version of the outfit of the day from my last blog post. I enjoy watching fashion-y videos and in turn, love making them as well.
Okay, I know I'm going to get a lot of slack for this, but I never guaranteed a 100% likeable post for anybody who looks at this blog. Yes, as the title states, I'm obsessing over the one and only: Miley Cyrus. It may be the super toned, "I go to pilates 6 days a week" body, or that simple staple blonde bun, but Miley has got me thinking the cliche 'I wish I was her' thought. I've been loving her simple but edgy, very AA, street-style. There's a lot of high waisted short action and fantastic sunnies. Anyways, I have a couple of favorite outfits that I've bookmarked and thought I'd post them up here - I'd seriously love to rock each one. She's come a long way from her Hannah Montana days, I swear!
