I'm very excited to share with you how I styled the pieces that I won from the Lookbook x The Frye Company Instagram contest! On 5/15 I went to the Lookbook Spring Style party held at the Frye store in Chicago. Before getting there, I had received a DM on Instagram saying that I had won a pair of shoes, accessories and a styling session with one of their profiled bloggers. My jaw fell to the floor and I was on a serious high. Fast forward to the event...it was great! Not gonna' lie, it was my first blogger event so I was a bit nervous but I'm so happy I went because I was able to vibe and chat with fellow bloggers while sippin' on some delicious cocktails. My stylist for the night was Jessie from Mini Penny and she was the absolute bomb.com. She helped me pick out some stellar pieces, gave me some of her personal tips + tricks and talked about our favorite joints in the city. You can check out some of the photos from the party here.

Pastel Dreams Lookbook | Photos

I know there's been a gap in between my posts but I'm getting back into the swing of things - life has been like a roller-coaster recently. Also, I finally turned 23 and had the best birthday I could have asked for. This is my MJ year, and let's hope it's as stellar as Michael Jordan's career, haha.

Pastel Dreams Lookbook | Video

 Decided that I needed to re-inspire myself to stop wearing black too much, so I got my most "pastel" clothes and created this lookbook. It's not meant to be a Spring lookbook, but I see how it can be taken that way. Also, as I live in Chicago, it is still SNOWING/COLD at the end of March so some of these outfits might not be totally appropriate for the weather in your location, but hopefully you can find some inspiration from it. Enjoy!

Mini-Summer Lookbook

                       

To break in the first day of June, I uploaded a mini-summer lookbook onto youtube with easy, "throw-on" type of outfits. I contemplated doing something like this for quite some time but always nervous of the outcome/criticism, I put it on hold. Nonetheless, life is too short to limit your happiness and creativity, so I went with it. Got a lot of love and positive feedback, especially from one of my favorite youtubers (even though I know it's not everyone's cup of tea). So here it is for the blog - enjoy!
