70°F In February Calls For A Pop Of Color

I shot this last Sunday (2/19) when the weather was reminding us about global warming. A week later — today — it's 36°F  but feels like 25°F...
Like every Chicagoan, I was caught off guard by last week's unexpected temperature. It was sunny, warm, and barely a breeze blew past. Of course everyone was out and about, which inspired me to get out of the house and do a little bit of exploring.
Naturally,  I couldn't help but throw in a fun piece into my (usually) all-black ensemble to celebrate the spring-like lazy Sunday.
I bought this "I'm Just Buzzed" peachy-pink crop top back when I was in college and still haven't been able to part ways with it. It's such a fun piece and definitely a conversation starter.
The pants are somewhat of a new purchase. I got them on a whim about a year ago at Uniqlo because they were the first pair of palazzo pants that fit my shorter-than-average body. I loved them so much I also bought them in an army green color too.
Now you know I'm a sunglasses fiend, so I had to throw on my Quay x Desi "T.Y.S.M." pair.

And I also owed it to my feet to feel the warm sun, so I opted for my go-to strappy sandals that never let me down.

Thank you, Chicago. It was a good day.
