The last time I did a "favorites" it was called "obsessions" for my YouTube channel — that's how long it's been. Seeing as how I've been trying some new products out and discovering things that make me happy, I thought I'd start sharing them with you all.
In case you don't want scroll through each item I'm mentioning, here they are in all their glory:
1: Tarte 'Shape Tape' concealer
This little makeup product packs a punch! Truth be told, I have been apprehensive about concealers because I can never find the right shade. Always too pink, sometimes too yellow, nothing that ever feels like it works for me.
I'm not into color correcting, either, so I tend to rely on the brand's color range or have to do a little cocktailing of my own. However, this product fits the bill for me without having to do any extra steps. The applicator holds so much product and allows the formula to glide on like a dream. It immediately erases all signs of my routine lack of sleep due to its full coverage, and it brightens up my under eye area. If I'm feeling real frisky, I'll just conceal some of my spots with this and go throughout the day sans full foundation. 10/10 would recommend!
2: Laura Geller 'Gilded Honey' highlighter
"Don't take people's words at face value," they said. "Try it and you be the judge," they urged. Well I did, and oh my god were people's praises spot on with this highlighter. The pigmentation is unreal.
If you want a subtle glow, this is for you. If you want to glow for the gods, honey, this is also for you.
For the love of highlight, get your hands on it if you can.
3: Kylie Cosmetics 'The Burgundy Palette' Kyshadow
The warm tones and berry hues give me life! The colors really sold me and I was not left disappointed. The texture of the pressed shadows are buttery — not prone to breaking or creating much fallout — and come in satin, metallic, and matte finishes that give you endless opportunities to create any look your heart desires.
She did the damn thing with this product.
4: Soap & Glory 'The Righteous Body Butter' moisturizer
I've never been a fan lotion's texture because it always felt a bit too sticky. I must have been trying all the wrong ones because this moisturizer is the hydration my skin has been begging for. It smells like heaven with its bergamot, peach, amber, and other masterfully paired notes and leaves your skin incredibly hydrated. Simply: It's a good lotion.
5: Quay x Desi Perkins collaboration 'High Key' aviators in black
Now, if there is one thing you should know about me is that I love Desi Perkins. She's one of my favorite YouTubers and when I saw she was coming out with a collab with Quay Australia, I nearly lost my shit. I already loved the brand — 'My Girl' shades are bomb and one of my fave pairs — and this just made me more hype than I needed to be.
Long story long: I bought every single color in this style — gold, black, and blue. I even went so far as to buy TWO gold pairs in case something were to ever happen. I also bought the T.Y.S.M. cat eye pair from the collection because I couldn't resist.
The mirrored lenses on the aviators are essential for me to navigate through the city without wanting to interact with humans all while trying to make a statement. They immediately make any outfit look put together and are such nice quality. They're my staple piece and I can't get enough of them.
6: iPhone 7 Plus in rose gold
Also, how perfect is my lock screen wallpaper? ONLY FACTS.
7: The xx 'I See You' album
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A NEW XX ALBUM LIKE A CHILD WAITS FOR CHRISTMAS MORNING. Just give it a listen, please.
I get to see them in May and can hardly contain myself!
That's it! You made it to the end of the post, but wait...
