LOLLAPALOOZA LOOK • DAY 2 • Babygirl's Bell Bottoms

Top- H&M / Pants - F21 / Bag  - Fjallraven Kanken / Boots - H&M/Sunnies - Urban Outfitters
Day 2 of Lollapalooza was perfect. The weather was at its best, I caved and bought the $25 Thorny Rose bottle of wine and ended up at one of my favorite shows - Fitz and the Tantrums! I chose to rock my super lightweight bell-bottoms-ish pants with a slightly cropped muscle tank (you can catch the instagram photo of this OOTD here) . Truth be told, I ended up spilling wine on my top and caught myself switching t-shirts with my gf and somehow liked that look better but...such is life! It was the perfect breezy outfit to dance all day in. Honestly, I felt like I had less time to shoot because I was busy trying to catch the acts and ended up being able to check off: The Temper Trap, Fitz and the Tantrums, Martin Garrix, Foster the People, The Head and the Heart and Outkast. Ooooh baby, baby...Outkast was everything I wanted and more *continues to dream on Cloud No. 9* Day 3's outfit coming soon...

Lollapalooza Look • Day 1 • How 'Bout Them Pineapples

Top- Asos / Sunnies - Urban Outfitters / Bag  - Fjallraven Kanken / Boots - H&M
The time finally came for Lollapalooza 2014! 3 days of non-stop music, dancing, eating + drinking and everything in between. This was my second year going to the festival and I honestly was not mentally prepared at all. It's like Christmas...it just sneaks up on ya'. Friday, 8/1, was a good book in this three day saga. It rained for a bit but cleared up by mid-afternoon. I was able to catch Iggy Azalea, Chvrches, Broken Bells, Lykke Li, Eminem and Zedd (luckily I got to see and meet Phantogram a couple days before Lolla) I wish I caught more acts but that's what Friday is about...re-learning Lolla world. As far as my outfit goes, I opted for this super oversized t-shirt I recently bought off of Asos. I was eyeing it for so long and, as a short girl, I saw the opportunity to rock it as a dress. Mygod, was it the best move (you can catch the instagram photo of this OOTD here). You'll notice in the next posts to come that I had 4 essential Lolla pieces for my looks: 1) 4 inch platform boots for height to watch the acts comfortably 2) Kanken backpack 3) Sunnies from UO 4) My signature red lipstick for the pop of color. So, keep your eyes peeled for Day 2 & 3 coming up...

LOOKBOOK x THE FRYE COMPANY OOTD

Kimono- Brandy Melville / Sunnies - Celine / Bag +Boots + iPad Case - Frye / Top - Zara/ Shorts- H&M
I'm very excited to share with you how I styled the pieces that I won from the Lookbook x The Frye Company Instagram contest! On 5/15 I went to the Lookbook Spring Style party held at the Frye store in Chicago. Before getting there, I had received a DM on Instagram saying that I had won a pair of shoes, accessories and a styling session with one of their profiled bloggers. My jaw fell to the floor and I was on a serious high. Fast forward to the event...it was great! Not gonna' lie, it was my first blogger event so I was a bit nervous but I'm so happy I went because I was able to vibe and chat with fellow bloggers while sippin' on some delicious cocktails. My stylist for the night was Jessie from Mini Penny and she was the absolute bomb.com. She helped me pick out some stellar pieces, gave me some of her personal tips + tricks and talked about our favorite joints in the city. You can check out some of the photos from the party here.
Thank you so much to Lookbook.nu and The Frye Company for such a fantastic event and phenomenal goodies I got to take home. I also started using the lookbook platform again, so you can check out my profile here
Check out the photos below and let me know what you think!
I also did a video for this post (which I'm quite proud of)...so don't forget to check that out too!

Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You

This past weekend, I headed out to the Old Town Art Festival with some of my favorite people! I always struggle with what to wear in hotter days, and with festival season in full swing...well...it gets me anxious. I decided to rock this super cool baby blue eye-print dress that I scored at Zara a couple months ago. I fell in love with it for obvious reasons (I have an eye tattoo in on the back of my neck, so yes, for very obvious reasons) and became obsessed with the material - scuba material, that is. (It's 95% polyester and 5% elastane, if we want to get technical here) Thankfully I didn't spill my drink on this gem of a dress because sangria sippin' can get dangerous. Also, the turtleneck wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and I received so many comments from this lil' getup. This dress is a winner!
EYE LOVE IT SO MUCH!

Traverse City Diary // Part 3

Oh, hi, hello - you've made it to my third and final post of my trip to Traverse City. In our relaxed state, we wanted to be super low key as we had a 6ish hour drive ahead of us that same day. We got amazing brunch at this quaint little French place in the downtown area called Patisserie Amie. Fresh food, my love and a cup of jo had me on cloud nine. We chose to walk around and then...

Traverse City Diary // Part 2

On the second day of our quick trip, we only had to expectations for the day: 1) stay outdoors and 2) have a picnic.  We did just that. We started off with some breakfast at The Towne Plaza. It was pretty yummy and sitting outside on a patio is always a plus. While we were grubbin', the weather was pretty gloomy but still warm, but even though we were confused on what to do and what to wear, we headed over to the bay area. We rented out our bikes for a couple of hours and...

Traverse City Diary // Part 1

About a week ago my gf and I did a nice little road-trip getaway for the Memorial Day Weekend. It was a very spur of the moment situation - we thought we were riding off to Wisconsin, then potentially flying to Colorado but ended up gracing the road on our way to Traverse City, Michigan. Lisa had me at, "quaint little area with cute places to eat + shop and beautiful scenery" ... sold. I will say we didn't anticipate the drive would be as long as it was, but the journey to our destination was just as fun. We made a pit stop in Three Oaks, Mi. to the Journey Man Distillery where we...
