NYFW | Jeremy Scott F/W '12

Robots? Aliens? Japan? Punk? Lisa Frank? The internet? Jeremy Scott, ladies and gentleman. These are one of those collections that you don't want to read much info about because you'd rather stare at the dynamic creation. Never scared to leap into the extreme, Jeremy Scott definitely breaks any color trends for the F/W '12 season. I feel like I'm in some outer space Emoji emoticon heaven; and hello...look at those blue lips, if you know me, you know I love a blue lip so much I've rocked it myself! Mr. Scott also tried to bring it full circle with the reinterpretation of the Indian bindi- creating a relationship between culture and technology. This collection cannot be deleted! He's one of my favorite designers and he can do no wrong, in my eyes.

NYFW | Proenza Schouler F/W '12

"Avenging samurai army" were the words used by Vogue to begin to explain the collection by Proenza Schouler. I don't think there's a better descriptor out there. The asymmetrical cuts lead your eyes to move around the pieces and the "waffle-like" material makes for an interesting take on texture. The collection was strong and came off as protective and fierce at the same time. Many people on the blogosphere have issues with the 'lack of form-fitting pieces' but I love how it is so strong and oversized.

NYFW | Alexander Wang F/W '12

When has Alexander Wang seized to amaze the fashion world with his structured and seemingly effortless cuts? The sleek and modern feel oozes from head to toe; the heavier top portions slimming down to trousers or skirts with high slits and the to-die-for boots. There's definitely a focus on outerwear and the color palette is minimal in all the right ways. One thing's for sure, Mr. Wang does not skip a beat!
