I am a self-professed "messy hair" person. I don't like combing my hair, putting it up, curling it, flat ironing it, etc. I know this makes me sound a bit like Ke$ha, but who cares! I like the disheveled look and it cuts down my 'getting ready' time greatly. However, lately I've been on a headband kick to give my untamed hair some pizzaz. I think it's fun to rock statement head gear; definite alternative to costume jewelry. The beauty of all of this? You can make them yourselves (as simple as getting a scarf and knotting it a fresh, new, way)! Now, I buy all of mine and the cut off cap for them is $5.00, but if you're into DIY, you can get crazy cool outcomes. Don't be afraid to experiment with patterns, shapes, materials, etc. I might dip into the pool and have an attempt at making one...or a couple, but for now, here are some of my favorite pieces. Wildfox | White Label Spring '12 Collection

Another collection I've been eyeballing. I've always loved the Wildfox brand because of their quirky clothes, amazing cuts and reinterpretation of styles. However, this is my first time looking into their White Label and I am floored. This collection is right up my alley and I want it all - the hair too! (even though its been done so many times for recent collections of other designers, I can't get enough) There are so many pieces, but I just chose some of the ones that I am dying to get my hands on - can we say birthday present(s)? A girl can dream, right? Enjoy!

CHANEL Pre-Fall 2012 | Paris-Bombay Collection

I've been meaning to blog about Chanel's pre-fall 2012 collection, but the spark was in full swing once a lovely lady (Sarah H.) put up the video titled 'Details of the Collection'. Some people hate this collection and others love it....and I love it, too! I'm into the eclectic vibe, yet very 'Chanel'-like features it retains. Let's not get started on the sultry makeup and badass hair (dreads) and most of all the divine jewelry/accessories. This all feels very mysterious and seductive to me. The theme being Paris-meets-Bombay is refreshing and made for a beautiful runway. So aesthetically pleasing. So decadent. So Chanel.
