Collection: LF Winter Lookbook

Bonjour! 

It's the 1st of December and the super cold days have already greeted us, and though that may seem like such a drag, it also means that it's time to layer up and bust out those cozy warm jackets and sweaters. Heating up the weather is definitely LF (a store that can be found in New York, California, Florida, Massachusetts and Texas). Unfortunately there are no stores in Illinois and there isn't an online shopping option, but a girl can admire from afar, can't she? I'm head over heels for the velvet dress and oversized knit jumpers! Here's some pics of their lookbook (all courtesy of LF)

OOTD on 11/16/2011

Currently: On break. Doing: Homework. Pretty much sums up how my week will be spent, so much vigorous work to be done. Anyways, I was going through my photos and forgot to post my outfit of the day from the past Wednesday. I was in the mood to get a bit dressed up for class, until I walked there and realized it was cancelled. It's okay, though. I wore some of my favorite pieces (old vs. new) My trusty faux-leather jacket that I throw on with about everything, has been in my life for about 2 years going strong - I love the cut of it so much (I hate to admit it though, it might be time to invest in a new and more durable one, as this one is becoming a bit tattered. Still love it wholeheartedly.) For the other older love of about 2 years as well...my green Doc Martens. A bright bold statement on my feet (& haven't seen anyone with them in this color, yet - which is so hard to manage, especially on campus). The recent obsession with a mere age of months is my black maxi skirt and my tiger tie up shirt that I got from London. Both are ultra comfortable. I threw in my thick knitted black snood, even if it made my outfit look chunky - it was cold.

Collection: H&M x Versace

My pleasure.

It has been talked about for a while and will be launching soon to select stores, but Versace has partnered up with H&M to bring some of the most iconic pieces to a larger audience at more affordable prices. I've added a slim amount of their advertisements and pictures of the runway since they are flooded everywhere on the web and I don't want to be so overwhelming. I will say the the film for the line has me hooked. Since I'm still at school, I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it to the madhouse that H&M will be once they open up on Nov. 19th at 8:00 AM. Will you be buying?

Before the sudden gloomy weather's arrival, I was able to snatch up a few pieces at Urban Outfitters about two weeks ago. It was during the much anticipated half off of whatever was already on sale...SALE! I think this is about the only time that I actually buy things at that store because I feel that they over-price items but their sale section is beyond fantastic. It didn't occur to me that I bought things in the same color range (gray....or is that a shade?) but that was okay with me. I guess it's another fashion phase. 

Sidenote: I was able to score the UNIF tank (second picture) for only $7, as opposed to the retail price of $68...such a steal :)

Anywho, three days and counting until I leave off to New York for the Teen Vogue Fashion University conference.
