Bonjour! After what seemed like midterm-week at work, I've had this "do-nothing-but-relax-and-lounge-at-home" way of life for the weekend. It has also given me the time to actually glance at all the shit in my room and realize that I do, in fact, have a shopping problem. It goes beyond the buying...because it's the act of me not wearing what I buy that bugs me. I get caught in such a dress-up routine that I forget about all the items I fell in love with and purchased. So, for the next 30 days, I plan on not buying any clothes/shoes/jewelry. There is only one exception for one item, and if I get it, I'll share. But, I thought it would be best to post this on here so that there's public pressure to follow my own set of rules. I've tried before and have failed, miserably.
I'm starting tomorrow.
But, I will leave you with some bits and pieces I've recently purchased :P
xx
How can you torture yourself like this? At this time? Don't you realize all the after Christmas sales that will be begging for your dollar?!?!?! What are you going to do when you walk into your favorite store to return that ill-fitting item and all those shiny accessories are calling your name? All I can say is.... goooooood luck! When you accomplish your goal, I say you celebrate... with a shopping spreeeeeeeeeeeee! LOLOLOLOL.
ReplyDeleteHow on earth did I miss this fantastic comment?! Almost a month later and let me update you: the torture only lasted maybe 2 weeks, I think even less (embarrassingly enough)! hahaha The after-Christmas sales didn't kill me, it was all the sales before!! I bow my head in shame for the countless shining things and piles of clothes I accumulated in that time. Never hit my goal - should I give it a go again?!
Deleteahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
my will power does not exist, haha - you know me too well!
